He was born in Mason City, Iowa on August 25, 1928 to Francis F. and Ella May (Reiter) Allie.
He served in the United States Army from 1948 until 1951. He grew up in Iowa and made his career as a printer. He was loved and will be missed.
He is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Joe) Kozlowski, Julie Allie and Debbie (Rick) Krago; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Tracy, Joseph Jr., David, Trevor, Katrina; also, eight great grandchildren; and his second wife Joan Zeivel.
He was preceded in death by two sons Francis and Michael; and his first wife Rosalin.
A visitation will be held on Friday June 11, 2021 at The Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary, Woodstock from 10:00 am until the Funeral Service at 12:00 noon. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Niles.
