Barry Carlton Brewer, 57, of Jarrell, Texas passed away at home on June 2, 2021 after a short illness.

Barry was born in Los Angeles, California on October 15, 1963. After graduating from Stillwater High School in Oklahoma, Barry spent many years working with Signature Flight Support, Inflight, Georgetown Farm Supply, Bench Tree, and most recently the United Ag & Turf John Deere dealership.

Barry loved planes, trains, and automobiles. Barry was past president of the Corvair Car Club. He drove his beloved 1963 Corvair daily until 1991 when he bought a GMC Jimmy. He was proud to still be driving his Jimmy with over 440,000 miles. He was even given a special recognition award from GMC for reaching 400,000 miles. Although Barry loved airplanes, he was afraid to fly due to his fear of heights. While employed at Inflight, Barry assisted in designing custom interiors for private and corporate jets. Barry's other passion was trains and he owned over 100 model train engines and cars. He was frequently in Temple, Texas each month running his trains with Central Texas Area Model Railroaders. In addition, he would drive to various locations to see real trains in action, such as the Union Pacific Big Boy #4014 at Sunset Station in San Antonio on its tour in November 2019.

Barry was a kind hearted man. He would help anyone that was in need, and had a love for all animals, especially cats. His gentle demeanor and dry sense of humor was enjoyed by family and friends, and will be greatly missed.

Barry was preceded in death by Grandparents, Ernest Buchholz, Bernice Buchholz, and Howard Brewer Sr.; Uncles, Theodore Brewer, Timothy Brewer, Steven Buchholz and Aunt, Gail Greene.

Barry is survived by his wife of 24 years, Abby Trainer Brewer, Jarrell, Texas, Step-daughter, Sarah Rachel Trainer, Lampasas, Texas; Mother, Joyce Buchholz Brewer; Sister, Melissa and Scott Blackman; Grandmother, Margaret Mull; Aunts and Uncles, Jan and Harry O'Dell, Harold and Jane Brewer, Lucy Courtney, Glenn and Susan Brewer, Debbie Brewer, and his beloved pets; Roscoe, Daisy, Sugar, Shadow, Chessy and Pumpkin.

A Visitation will be held at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, TX 78628 on Friday, June 11 from 6:00-8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop, Georgetown, Texas 78626 or Central Texas Area Model Railroaders at CentrA Mod INC. P.O. Box 1264, Temple, Texas 76503
