Reverend Royce L. Lowe of Jacksonville, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021. Pastor Lowe was born May 28, 1938 in rural Sebastian County, Arkansas to the late W. Charner and Jessie Lowe. In addition to his parents, Pastor Lowe is preceded in death by his brother, E. Harold Lowe; and niece, Lee Anne Lowe Goines.  

Ordained with the Assemblies of God for over sixty-one years, Pastor Lowe graduated Cum Laude from Southwestern Assemblies of God University, and later served on its Alumni Board. He travelled seven states in evangelistic ministry and served as pastor of three congregations, all in Arkansas: Blue Mountain, Helena, and his current pastorate of forty-nine years in Jacksonville.

During his ministry, Pastor Lowe served as a Sectional Presbyter, Youth Director, Sunday School Director, and the Jacksonville Police Chaplin.  He was a member of the Ministerial Alliance, the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast, was the author of "The Pastor's Corner" in The Leader, and "The Voice of The Full Gospel" on KMTL Radio for over twenty years. Pastor Lowe has officiated hundreds of marriages, funerals, baptisms and baby dedications.  He and his wife, Linda, counseled summer camps and conducted countless children's and teens revivals and services.

Pastor Lowe is survived by his wife, Linda Skaggs Lowe of the home; three daughters, Rev. Becky (Stanley) Williams of Forney, Texas, Gayla (Dale) Dahl of Southside, Arkansas, and Dr. Laura (Kyle) Furge of Kalamazoo, Michigan; six grandsons, Rev. Stancle (Jordin) Williams of Deer Park, Texas, Charner (Katie) Williams of Forney, Texas,  2nd Lt. C. Adam (Tiffany) Dahl of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jason (Sara) Dahl of Crawfordsville, Arkansas, Jared Dahl of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, William Furge of Kalamazoo, Michigan; one granddaughter, Rachel Furge of Kalamazoo, Michigan; five great-grandchildren, Braylen, Emory and Landon Williams, all of Deer Park, Texas,  and Paisley and Nolan Dahl of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two brothers, Wayne (Sharon) Lowe and Carroll (Tresa) Lowe, both of Greenwood, Arkansas; sister-in-law, June Lowe, of Huntington, Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Jacksonville First Assembly of God (221 N Elm Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076) with Rev. Stancle Williams, Rev. Gary Ingold, and Rev. Larry Moore officiating. Visitation will be the evening prior, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at the church. Pastor Lowe will be laid to rest at Gentry Cemetery in Greenwood, Arkansas with a 4:00 p.m. committal service at the cemetery on Wednesday.
