THE PARIS NEWS, Mon., Aug. 22, 1994, p.12A. 'Cooper - Jerry Wayne Oden, 58, of Cooper died Saturday. Aug. 20, 1994, at Opelousas, LA. Services will be held at 2 p.m.. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Delta Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Edge officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery at Roxton. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Oden was born Feb. 21, 1936, in Howland, a son of Roy Albert and Jewel Fields Oden. He married Faye Frimes [sic] in 1974. Surviving are his wife; one son, Larry Oden of Lake Creek; three daughters, Beth Saxer of Arlington, Carol Witzel of Phoenix, AZ and Julie Silman of Commerce; one brother, Clifton Oden of Coppell; three sisters, Dorothy Stesan of Cooper, Leona Hunt of Garland and Evelyn Williams of Spring; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Vola Oden.'
