Grace A. Boness
Two Rivers - Grace A. Boness, 98, passed away on June 5, 2021. She was born November 27, 1922 in the town of Cooperstown to the late Frank and Frances Shusta Zeman. Her mother died in 1925 so she was raised by her sister, Mary Tisler Shebesta. She attended school in Menchalville. At the age of 15, Grace moved to Two Rivers to attend vocational school and worked for the Kahlenberg family until she turned 18. She then worked at Eggers Plywood, retiring in 1989. In 1947 she married Willard Boness at Tisch Mills and they lived in Two Rivers. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1997. He preceded her in death on June 7, 1998.
Grace is survived by her twin sons, the 2 greatest joys of her life! She was so proud of her boys.
Willard (Chris) Boness, Manitowoc and their son, Brian (Angie) Boness and their daughter due in September.
Walter (Pam) Boness, Mishicot, and their sons, Christopher (Danielle) Rand and children, Cassandra Rand and her son, Rory, and Clark and Louis Rand; and Craig Boness and his daughters, Jaelyn Habeck and Eva Boness. Also surviving are many special nieces and nephews.
Grace is preceded in death by her husband, her 3 sisters; Mary and James Shebesta, Verna and Jim Edelbeck, and Christine and Alvin Nocker, and a brother, Albert. Numerous family members and friends also preceded her in death, including a close friend, Al Jonas.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 18th St., Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will the Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to follow in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation.
