MISS SARAH MARGARET HAVENS, 90, of Main Street, Center Moriches, died February 11 at her home.

Miss Havens was born January 7, 1875 in Center Moriches and was a lifelong resident of that community. She was a member and first president of the Woman’s Club of the Moriches; a member of the Colonel Josiah Smith Chapter of the DAR; the Suffolk Historical Society; the Society for the Preservation of the LI Antiquities; and the Presbyterian Church of the Moriches.

She is survived by a cousin, Robert H Pelletreau of Bellport.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 pm Sunday at the Presbyterian Church of the Moriches, Center Moriches, with the Rev Charles E Cozadd officiating. Interment took place at Mt Pleasant Cemetery, East Moriches. Funeral arrangements were made by the Herrmann’s Funeral Home, Center Moriches.
