Today, June 7, 2021, as he took his last breath on Earth, Dad arrived in Heaven shouting, "Ruby, I'm here. Hallelujah. I have arrived."
A Christian husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a mentor and friend to many. Edwin was a wonderful dad to Robert (Pam) Joiner, Sharon Joiner, Lana Joiner Lee, Terry (Cheryl) Joiner; grandfather to Jonah and Jeremiah (Kristie) Faust, James (Lindsey) Joiner, Jessica (Chris) Ernst, Amy Caston (David); great-grandfather to Sylas, Abby, Miah, and Noah Faust, Kayler and Kaidyn Joiner, Colt Caston, Ruby Jane Hadley, and Owen Ernst; bonus grandfather to Chris, AJ (Magen), Ryan and Michelle Detellieu Brown; great-grandfather to Konnor and Kollin Poche, Chloe and Gracey Sernutine, and AJ Detellieu.
Dad was a proud veteran of the United States Airforce where he served four years in Illinois, Texas, and Alexandria working on airplane engines. He formed many great friendships which lasted a lifetime.
Dad enjoyed being a dairy farmer and Millwright, but his greatest job was being a father, grandfather, and mentor to his children, grandchildren, and many young dairy farmers. He enjoyed working his farm, traveling, family, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruby Stafford Joiner; parents, Leonard and Thera Joiner; grandson, Micah Faust; brothers, Donald, Marion, and James Joiner.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Johnson Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice.
