From the Little Falls (Minnesota) Daily Transcript, Wednesday, May 19, 1926:

Charles Warren Kemp, probate judge of Morrison County, died at his home following a heart attack last night. He was stricken about 8:30 o'clock and died at 9:30. He was 67 years old.

The judge had apparently been in good health. He was at his office all day yesterday and chatted with friends on the front porch of his home during the evening.

Charles Warren Kemp was born in Kokomo, Ind., April 12, 1859. He was married to Mary A. Hanson of Christiana, Norway, on June 22, 1887, and moved his family from George, Iowa, to a farm just south of Little Falls 27 years ago. Five years later the family moved to a farm in Little Elk, where they resided for 14 years, taking up residence in the city when Mr. Kemp took his office as probate judge, January 1, 1919. Mr. Kemp has held the office continuously since that time.

Surviving are the widow and four children, William and Mrs. C.E. Alexander, St. Paul; Mrs. T. Collin, Minneapolis and Miss Tillie Kemp of this city. He is survived also by two brothers, John V. Kemp of Helena, Mont., and Van Scott Kemp of Rock Valley, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and 2:30 at the Methodist church. Rev. S.S. Farley officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
