In loving memory of a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Janice (Jan) Ann (Potter) Marshall, age 74, who went home to be with our Lord on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 after a short battle with Covid-19. She was born in Muskegon on June 24, 1946 to Geraldine (Bayer) & Albert Potter where she was a life-long resident. She was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. On June 11, 1965 she married Richard Marshall at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Coopersville. He survives along with their 5 children, Robert (Tracy) Marshall, Tammy (Randall) Bond, Arthur (Urmi) Marshall, Anthony (Kendra) Marshall and Dustin (Sandra) Marshall. Also surviving are their 18 grandchildren Alyssa (Donald) Smith, Alec Marshall, Valerie Marshall, Samantha (Jared) Hrbek, Ashley (Michael) Mongeau, Emily Marshall, Madeline Marshall, Rohan Marshall, Niam Marshall, Anthony Marshall, Leann Marshall, Andrew Evans, Rae Ann Evans, Kaden Marshall, Makaylee Marshall, Clayton Marshall, Cole Marshall and Jasper Marshall and 5 great-grandchildren Amara Mongeau, Ezra Mongeau, Gianni Mongeau, Harrison Hrbek and Ryker Marshall. Jan was involved in each of her grandchildren's life and made each one feel special and loved. Jan is also survived by her siblings Karen (Patrick) Benham, Loel Potter, Jerry Potter, Daniel (Ruby) McClellan and sister in-law Judith Potter. Also survived by loving in-laws James (Louella) Marshall, Steven (Anna) Marshall, Roger (Teresa) Marshall and Martha Marshall. Jan was a daycare provider and a foster parent for many years. She worked at Tekmold, Ryke's Bakery and at Sam's Club Muskegon for 20 years as a food enhancer where she made many lasting friendships. Jan loved to quilt in her retirement. She was surrounded, literally in her sewing room by fabric scraps which she would turn into works of art, memory quilts, wedding quilts, and baby quilts. She was active in the Women's Guild at Our Lady of Grace. She and her sister Karen were active in Project Linus which makes blankets for children in need and Patchers At the Lakeshore (PALS) for many years. She was in a bowling league for 30 years. She enjoyed working in the yard and being with family and friends. Jan will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brothers Fredrick Potter, Alfred Potter, Burton Potter, brother-in-law Stephen Berry, and sisters in-law Cindy Potter and Ardy Potter, father and mother in-law Arthur and Marjorie Marshall.
