Gordon Campbell, Neosho Insurance Agent, Dies
Neosho, Mo., Oct. 22.- Gordon L. Campbell, 42 years old, 528 West Spring Street, agent here for the Prudential Life Insurance Company, died at 3:20 o'clock Sunday morning in the veterans' hospital at Fayetteville, Ark. He was ill seven months.

Mr. Campbell was born July 17, 1909 in Mounds, Okla., and came here 14 years ago. He was a Mason and was a member of the First Christian Church and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Campbell enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served in New Caledonia, Okinawa, Iwo Jima and Guam during World War II in the navy's medical corps. He received his discharge on Guam after four years' service.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Juanita Campbell: two daughters, Miss Mary Gordon Campbell of Mississippi, and Patricia Lynn Campbell, at home: a step-daughter, Betty Jane Givens, at home: a son, Gordon L. Campbell, Jr., at home; three sisters, Mrs, A.N. Miller, Gridley, Calif., Mrs. E.C. Hatfield, Bluffs, Ill., and Mrs, J.G. Neff, Lafayette La., and a brother, Clyde Campbell, Oklahoma City.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the North Side Baptist Church with the Rev. Arnold Long, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Joe Detamore, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from noon Tuesday until the funeral hour. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. cemetery under direction of the Clark-Bigham funeral home.
