She attended elementary school in Red Lake and then went to high school at the Flandreau Indian School in Flandreau, SD. She met the love of her life, Louis Jenkins, Jr., in 1989, and together they raised four children. He passed away in 1996. Diane lived in various places throughout Northern Minnesota, finally settling in Ponemah.
Diane had many hobbies and interests. She liked to take rides with her sister, Gig, enjoyed going to the casino and loved to smoke. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren who were her pride and joy.
Diane will be lovingly remembered by her children: Linda (Brian) White, Susan "Duzeey" (Kerry) Jenkins, Louis (Tracey) Jenkins III, Mary Jenkins; 10 grandchildren; sisters: Georgette "Gig" White, Carol Schoenborn and Donna Graves; brother, Adrian White; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: George White, Jr. and Roger White, Sr.; the love of her life, Louis Jenkins, Jr., and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Interment will be at the White Family Burial Grounds in Ponemah.
