NORFOLK - - Daniel Ward Bancroft, 41, of 3042 Fireside Road, husband of Mrs. Helen Garrett Bancroft and son of Mrs. Margaret Tharp Bancroft and the late Charles Bancroft, died in a local hospital Friday at 9:45 a. m.
He was a member of Pentecostal Holiness Church and a lifelong resident of Norfolk.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Daniel Ward Bancroft, Jr. of Norfolk, three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Richardson, Mrs. Daisy Burroughs, and Mrs. Rosa Richardson of Norfolk; and five brothers, Dick Bancroft, Bert Bancroft, Richard Bancroft and Acil Bancroft of Norfolk and Frank Bancroft of Tampa, Fla.
A funeral service will be conducted in Ewell Williamson Funeral Home Monday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Billy Bridges of Arbor Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

He is not my father, but I get my last name from him.
Edward H. Thompson is my biological father. I have never met him or Daniel Bancroft.
