Paul "Rand" Randolph Hightower

Paul Randolph Hightower, known to friends and family as ''Rand'', passed away May 27th 2021 at the age of 65.
Rand attended Austin Peay State University where he served as a proud member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, eventually being elected by his brothers to serve their chapter as treasurer. Rand continued his education at William H. Bowen School of Law. Rand practiced law at the Arkansas Public Service Commission, where he was Chief Council. He served the State of Arkansas for more than 30 years proudly defending the interests of all Arkansans. He was a deeply intelligent attorney and fierce advocate, earning him the respect of colleagues and peers across the legal community.
In his free-time, Rand thrived in the outdoors and he could often be found hunting or fishing. His easy-going demeanor and quick-witted humor easily won friends wherever he went.
Rand is preceded in death by his father, Toby Hightower; his mother, Lois Cowan; and his son, Mark Hightower. Rand is survived by his son, Luke Hightower; his sister, Shirley Luten; his former wife, Donna Yearby, and a host of friends and family who will miss him dearly.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in the Chapel of Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72211, (501) 224-8300, with burial to follow at Crestview Cemetery, Hot Springs. Visitation will be from 10:00 -11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the funeral home.
