Joe Virgil Jones, Jr., 77, of Corinth, KY, born August 24, 1943 in Owen County, Kentucky and left this world Sunday June 6, 2021 at Georgetown Community Hospital in Scott County.

His parents were the late Joe Virgil and Lura (Wright) Jones. Junior was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Janice Faye (Glass) Jones; along with one brother, Wilburn Jones, a granddaughter, Sarah (Glass) Hammond and a grandson, John Bradley Wolfe.

Joe Virgil, otherwise known as Junior, married the love of his life, the late Janice Faye (Glass) Jones on December 23, 1967. Together they raised three children.

After Working 30+ years at Wintergreen Horse Farm in Midway, he finally retired.

Junior loved spending time farming and growing tomatoes. In his youth he enjoyed coon hunting, although his true love for hunting was standing behind a bird dog with a shotgun in hand waiting for a Bob White quail to fly up. When he wasn't farming or hunting he could be found in the company of family and friends telling stories and playing with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the New Columbus Baptist Church.
