Jennie Louise King Lee, age 92, resident of River Landing at Sandy Ridge passed away January 3, 2013 in High Point Regional Hospital. Mrs. Lee was born May 20, 1920 in Bishopville, SC a daughter of Wiley Brent and Pauline Best King. She was a graduate of Columbia College in Columbia, SC with a AB degree in Education and was elected May Queen. Mrs. Lee moved to High Point in 1951 and eventually volunteered at High Point Hospital in the Soda Shop and enjoyed being a member of the Wake Robin Garden Club. She was an active member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church where she served on the Wedding Committee, the Worship Committee, and the Christian Group. Mrs. Lee taught the Senior Class of the Sunday School for 16 years. She was twice married, first to Wallace Clifton (Tom) Brown, Jr. on October 3, 1941. He preceded her in death on March 12, 1968. Her second marriage was to William B. (Bill) Lee on Nov. 2, 1974. He passed away on June 30, 2001. Mrs. Lee was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, W. Brent King.
