TRAHAN Clifford J. Trahan, beloved husband of 42 years to the late Emelda Kerth Trahan, departed this life on Wednesday, March 25, in the year of our Lord, 2009. He is survived by his stepdaughter, Karen M. Burger and his stepson, Ronald G. Burger; six grandchildren, Brent G. Burger, Kristi Ann Burger, Lisa Burger Toler, Bryan Hunter Burger, Dr. Lauren Burger Warren, and Christian Jacob Burger. He is also survived by five great grandchildren and two sisters, Leotha Trahan Younce and Rosemary Trahan Jas as well as their children and grandchildren. Mr. Trahan was a veteran of World War II, having served in Hawaii during his tenure in the United States Army. He was also a member of the VFW of Gretna, American Legion in Waveland, Mississippi Post 77, a retired member of the New Orleans Fire Department, a retired New Orleans Fire Department Inspector, and a veteran of the Fire Fighters Association. He was beloved by all who knew him as a kind and loving gentleman. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend Catholic Funeral Services at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Monday, March 30, 2009 at 11:30 AM. Interment in McDonoghville Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 AM until 11:30 AM. Information: 504.366.4343.
