Donna Lisa Willis
Forever Remembered In Our Hearts
Crawford - Ray Jun 4, 2021 0
CLYDE — Our hearts are broken as our beautiful Donna Lisa Willis left her earthly home to enter into her glorious heavenly home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021.

Donna was born July 19, 1959, to the late Jack T. Willis and the late Violet Potter Ballard. She had made her home in Haywood County all of her life and Donna had been employed with Interstate Securities as a stockbroker. Everyone who was blessed to know Donna loved her.

She was a stunningly beautiful young lady and she had enjoyed professional modeling during her younger years. Donna was gifted with many talents- her natural gift of artistry was evident in the many paintings and sketches that Donna created. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles throughout the mountains and she also held a great love for all animals.

Donna loved horses and she and her family took great pride in raising their beautiful appaloosas. Donna always said that riding always brought her delightful feelings of joy and freedom. She also enjoyed traveling but Donna always loved coming home to the mountains where she was born and raised. We rejoice for Donna's life and for what she has meant to each of us and the blessings she has been in our lives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie Carver that she loved with all her heart.

Surviving are her sisters, Karen Thomas (Larry) of Clyde, and Debbie Willis (Clarence) of Colorado; her loving partner of many years, Jerry Caldwell of Clyde; nieces, Kayla Thomas (Paul), and Missy McClenens (Nick); a nephew, Thomas Soesbee; several cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews; also Donna's beloved cats, "Beau" and "Maya" (Little Girl).

A service of remembrance for Donna will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021, in the chapel of Crawford / Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior.

Memorials may be made in Donna's memory to Sarge's Animal Rescue at 256 Industrial Park Waynesville, NC 28786 or to Haywood Spay / Neuter at P.O. Box 992 Waynesville, NC 28786.
