Judy Odum Capps, age 65, of Leland, died Wednesday, April 27, 2005, at her home.
She was born in Wilmington, NC, on January 8, 1939, and was the daughter of the late James Daniel Odum and Hazel Padrick Odum. Judy was the widow of James F. Capps Sr. who died March 15, 1999.
Surviving are her children, James Franklin Capps Jr. (Michelle) of Pinellas Park, FL, and William Danny Capps (Donna Kaye) of Wilmington; three grandchildren, Scotty Ray Capps, William Danny Capps II and Creston Phoenix Capps; sisters, Delores Judd (Richard) of Wilmington, Margie Stone of Rocky Point, Janet Hewett (Henry) of Wilmington and Linda Carraway (Roy) of Newport, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 on Sunday, May 1, 2005, at Prospect Cemetery in Wilmington.
There will be a visitation for family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Andrews Mortuary, Market Street Chapel.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the American Cancer Society or Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
