Debra Denise Taylor Harris, age 58, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2021. Debra was born May 2, 1963 in Fort Worth, Texas to the parentage of Tom Charles (T.C.) Taylor and Patsy Ruth Crosby Taylor. She was the last of seven children, so her siblings nicknamed her "Baby Girl". DeDe accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Como First Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend H.D Steptoe. Debra began her education at Como Elementary School, then continued her academic yeas at Mary Louise Phillips Elementary and William Monnig Middle School, graduating from Arlington Heights High School in 1981. Later in life, DeDe chose to further her education, so she enrolled in the Automotive Program at Tarrant County College South Campus. Starting out as a single parent, DeDe wasn't a stranger to work. She began seeking employment and maintaining a job to support her family early in life. Some of her places of employment included Wendy's, Winn-Dixie, Drew's Place, Samsil, U.S. Postal Service, Tarrant County Probation Office, Falcon Steel and Stream. Prior to her illness, she was Manager at Auto Zone, Inc. The knowledge of automotive repair that she acquired and the passion for it, led to her service of eighteen years with the company. DeDe had very strong work ethics and and her employees and co-workers respected and loved her for her dedication and leadership. DeDe met and married Robert Harris, Sr. on January 15, 1987. To this union, one child was born: however, she had an older son whom Robert loved, nurtured and cared for as his own. On Saturday, May 22, 2021 at approximately 12:55 a.m. DeDe answered God's call to come home in the comfort of the family home, surrounded by her children and siblings. She was a kind loving carefree person who enjoyed life. The sound of her laughter and that larger-than-life smile will forever resonate in the hearts and minds of those whose lives she touched in her lifetime. Those left to cherish her memories are her sons: DeMarcus Taylor (Jordan) and Robert Harris, Jr.; grandchildren, who called her "Munchie", Kylei Annette Taylor, Devyn Lynn Taylor and Hailey Ruth Taylor; siblings, Eric "Chuck" Taylor, Sr. (Sheila), Autury Jones Jackson, Linda Jones Crockett (Larry), Berma Jones Colbert, Pam Taylor Vincent (Don T.) and Pat Taylor Walker (Ramon); uncles, Alvin Taylor (Thelma), Roosevelt Taylor, Sr. (Marie) and Johnnie B. Taylor, Jr. (Rainey); aunts, Aimee Lee Berkley and Catherine Crosby and many nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
