Mrs. Joan Young, age 91, passed away on May 31, 2021. Joan was born in Cincinnati, OH to John Smith and Anna Smith. Joan married Melvin Young Jr. To this union was born five children, Eric, Karen, Vernita, Shelly, and Andre.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Melvin Young Jr.; and sister, Ethel Kilgore.
She leaves to cherish her memory, five children, Eric (Stacey) Young, Karen (James) Jones, Vernita Young, Shelly (Otis) Pollard, and Andre; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; two nieces, one nephew and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church 9991 Wayne Avenue Woodlawn, Ohio 45215. Funeral services will follow immediately at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow at Oak Hills Cemetery 11200 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, Ohio 45246.
