William Neilson Washington Dickey was the son of American Revolutionary patriot Edward Dickey and his second wife Anne W Neilson. William acquired land holdings in Sumter Co, SC. He married Mary Atkinson 15 March 1798. They had seven children who were: Sarah Jane Dickey McCoy, Anne Dickey (died at 8 years), Shadrach Edward Dickey, Henry DeWilde Dickey (died at 14 years), Sophronia DeWilde Dickey Mitchell, Harriett James Dickey Harvin, and Mary Ann Neilson Dickey Winn. All children were named in his estate probate. It is not know where he is buried.
