Mr. Gregory Allen Walker age 72 of Rusty Lane Blairsville passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday June 2, 2021 following an extended illness. Mr. Walker was born on March 9, 1949 in Burbank, CA., the son of the late George Arthur Walker and the late Lorraine Neighbors Walker. He was a veteran of the US Navy of the Vietnam War. Greg loved traveling and meeting new people. He was always very kind hearted and generous. He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by a son, Scotty Walker, stepson, Billy Houston and a sister, Linda Pool. Greg was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mr. Walker are his loving wife and best friend of thirty years, Patricia Hawkins of Blairsville, one stepson and his fiancée, Edward Houston and Frankie Carpenter of Blairsville, three sisters and one brother in law, Melody Martin of Little Rock, CA., Melissa Wilkerson of Lancaster, CA., Laurie and Phil Tyson of Cold Water, MS., one brother and sister in law, Gary and Ruhcel Walker of Santa Maria, CA., several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced with interment to follow in the GA National Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Mr. Walker's memory.
