George T. Benner, 80, of Bryan and formerly of El Campo died on June 4, 2003 in Bryan. He was born March 23, 1923 in the Blue Creek Community in El Campo to the late Arthur and Goldie Wilcoxen Benner.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII as a Signalman. He was a member of the V. F. W. Post 2786 in El Campo and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bryan. He was a retired carpenter and built custom window screens.
Preceded in death by: parents, brothers Paul Benner, C. J. "Pat" Benner; sister, Myrtle Lee; brother-in-law, Lonnie Summer.
