Brenda Ruth Lamb, 54, of Quincy, died at 5:20 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 21, 2003) in her home. She was born Dec. 18, 1948, in Hannibal, MO, a daughter of LeRoy Sullivan and Virgie Sullivan Deckerd. Brenda married Michael Lamb on March 17, 2000, in Quincy and he survives. Brenda was a bank teller at Central State Bank. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. Brenda was a lifelong member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed participating in outdoor activities, especially fishing and golfing. In addition to her husband Michael, survivors include her mother, Virgie Deckerd of Perry, MO; a son, Dwayne Sohn and his wife, Heather, of Bend, OR; two daughters, Tamra Hutmacher and her husband, Dru, and Tina Sohn and her fiance, Rory Tenhouse, all of Quincy; five grandchildren, Amber Sohn of Bend, and Beau Tenhouse, Brady Sohn, Hannah Hutmacher, and Breanne Tenhouse, all of Quincy; also her first husband, Tom Sohn of Quincy. Brenda was preceded in death by her father. A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Duker and Haugh Funeral Home. The Rev. Kurt Hartrich, OFM, will have a parish wake service at 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Grade School.
