A Celebration of Life for Jennifer Lorraine Powers will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021, in the White Oaks Memorial Chapel with Brother Dakota Nolen, Reverend Kenneth Hayden and Pastor Louis Robertson officiating.
Committal service will follow in the Drakes Fork Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Jennifer, 43, of Elizabeth, received her angel wings on Saturday, May 29, 2021, in Alexandria with her loving family by her side. She was born August 22, 1977, in Oakdale to the union of John Powers and Kathy (Perkins) Bloodsworth.
She was a very devoted Christian and an inspiration to many of her friends. She obtained her bachelor's in business from the University of Phoenix, and became the founder of Powers Development, Inc. where she designed online video games. She will be missed by all her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bobby Bloodsworth Sr., and Kathy (Perkins) Bloodsworth; two sons, Jaden Powers and Jarrett Powers; father, John Powers; maternal grandmother, Lorene Perkins; and maternal grandfather, Dennis Perkins.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are one son, Dylan Powers of Pineville; two daughters, Jaclyn Hughey of Elizabeth, and Abigail MacPherson of Albuquerque, NM; one brother, Bobby Lee Bloodworth, Jr. and wife Shirley of Pitkin; four sisters, Thelma Carroll, and Anita Powers both of Cravens, Marsha Davis Trevizo and husband Lupe of Chester, OK, Lillie Nichols and husband Cameron Nichols of Liberty, TX; step-father John Cardy of Pitkin; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, and a beloved special aunt, Shirley Bloodsworth.
Pallbearers to serve will be Jaclyn Hughey, Dylan Powers, Griffen Terry, Randall Perkins, Brian Perkins, Shaun Perkins, Donnie Moore, and Edward Carroll.
The family extends special thanks to Heart of Hospice and to the love and service of Clauretta Williams Stevenson and LaToya Birdlong-Baxter.
Visitation will be held at the White Oaks Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., then on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 9 a.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. in the chapel.
