Larry R. "Bear" Coleman, age 69, of Marissa, IL, born on October 6, 1951, died on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
Larry was a 1970 graduate of East St. Louis Senior High School and completed technical school for welding at Ranken and HVAC at SWIC. He was a maintenance mechanic for 33 years at Big River Zinc in Sauget, IL, and a past associate member of FOP Lodge #262. Larry was a loving husband, dad, grandpa bear, and buddy. He also loved bass fishing and enjoyed watching horse racing and Cardinal baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Ray and Myrtle Ruth, nee Armstrong Coleman.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 7, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL with Rev. Jack Kurrelmeyer officiating. Interment will be held in Paradise Cemetery, Steeleville, IL.
