Patterson, Janice Louise Mrs. Janice Louise Patterson of Jackson passed away at Waltonwood Twelve Oaks in Novi, Michigan on Sunday, May 30, 2021. She was 95 years old. Born in Montpelier, Ohio on December 19, 1925, but moved to Jackson in the second grade. Janice previously lived in Zeebrugge, Belgium and Statesville, NC. Janice was married to her husband, Claude, for over 71 years who preceded her in death. She loved traveling and camping in the National Parks with their three daughters. An avid crafter and lover of puzzles, Janice enjoyed sewing, stamping and other crafting as well as playing bunco. Devoted to her family, Janice enjoyed cooking holiday meals and Christmas with family was her favorite celebration. Janice was predeceased by her parents, Lulu and Cliff Bodman; daughters, Regina Burnham, Claudette Reed, Deborah Rais; siblings Sarah, Phyllis, Dick, Helen, and Benny. She is survived by her sister Mary Lou. Janice is also survived by four grandchildren: Seth, Abel, Deborah, and Elizabeth and twelve great-grandchildren. A service honoring Mrs. Patterson will be on Saturday June 5th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Patience-Montgomery Funeral Home (406 First Street Jackson, Michigan 49201). The family will receive friends for visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Patterson will be laid to rest at Roseland Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions to D.A.V. would be greatly appreciated.
