Janice Eileen Lane 83, of Ann Arbor, Michigan passed away on Friday, February 5, 2021 at the U of M Medical Center.
Janice was born January 13, 1938 to Walter and Ruth (Trout) Kleinschmidt.
Janice is survived by her two children, Jeff (Leslie) Lane of Grass Lake and Diana Dawn (Michael) Heaphy of Lima, Ohio.
Janice graduated from Ann Arbor High School in 1955, and later completed courses at Cleary Business College. Janice was employed by University Microfilms in the 1950s, prior to becoming a full-time mother and homemaker. Janice adored her Siamese cats, enjoyed camping in northern Michigan, growing backyard flowers, decorating her home, reading fiction, and texting about the latest political news with her daughter. Janice was grateful to her longtime neighbors Peggy and Julie for their kindness and help when little tasks became big tasks as the years added up. Janice loved her home and neighborhood, and worked hard to maintain her independence. She was not easily given to asking for help, as many who knew her were well aware!
Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Saline.
