Billie Jean Bates, 73, of Poplar Bluff, MO, entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. Billie was born September 14, 1947 in Poplar Bluff, MO to the late John and Mable Riepe. She enjoyed crafts and talking with her family and friends. She was a member of New Home General Baptist Church and attended until her health no longer allowed her to attend. She is survived by two daughters: Angela Angel of Scott City and Kristi (John) Caudel of Fisk. Eight grandchildren: Brian Greer of Poplar Bluff, Nikita (Ryan) Smith of Puxico, Trey Doty and Anastacia Doty of Poplar Bluff, Matthew (MaKayla) Cagle of Broseley, Tyler Caudel of Fisk, Justin (Kayla) Caudel of New Bern, NC, and Jeremy (Tabitha) Caudel of Fisk. Eleven great grandchildren with two more arriving spring of 2021. She is survived by one sister, Amy (Jack) Maxwell of Mesa, Arizona. She is preceded in death by sisters: Juanita (Dub) Stevenson, Betty (Chester) Stroud and two brothers John "Shorty" Riepe and Eddie Riepe. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 20, 2020 at White-Sanders Funeral Home in Fisk. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Stevenson officiating. Burial will be in Ash Hill Cemetery in Fisk.
