Maxine was born on January 18, 1929, in Knoxville, the daughter of Clarence and Ethel Lola (Johnson) Estes. She was united in marriage to Wilson McKinley Love of Richmond on August 26, 1946; he preceded her in death on January 14, 2006.
Survivors include: son, Wilson Duane Love; two grandchildren, Brandi Lynn Nelson and Wilson Dean Love; three great-grandchildren: Tara Cooper, Kara Cooper, and Kahner Wilson; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Linda Kay Love, two brothers, Clarence Lavern Estes and Noah Samuel Estes, four half-brothers, Wilber Dean Estes, Jack Alexander Clay, Norman Lee Estes, and Jerry Alton Clay, half-sister, Francis D. Minnick; and grandson, Christopher Wade Love.
Maxine was reared and educated in the area of her birth. She was a housewife and homemaker. Maxine also worked outside of the home for Raiders Clothing in Richmond, until it closed. She then worked in the dietary department at the Ray County Memorial Hospital, until she retired in 1998. Maxine enjoyed traveling, taking pictures, baking, dancing, and especially her family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice. They can be left at or mailed to Thurman Funeral Home, 507 East Main Street-P.O. Box 190, Richmond, MO 64085.
Visitation with funeral services will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond, with visitation beginning at 1:30 P.M., with services to follow at 2:30 P.M. Burial will be in Richmond Memory Gardens.
