Billy Glenn Freeman, 83, of Georgetown, Texas passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021 in Georgetown, Texas. He was born in Joaquin, Texas January 8, 1938, to his father Benton Freeman and mother Bertie Lee (Farris) White. Billy met the love of his life Charlene Jordan at her parent's hardware store in Houston at the age of 7. They were together almost non-stop, until they married at the age of 16. Together, they celebrated 62 years of marriage. Billy and Charlene owned Freeman Automotive for 30+ years after moving from Houston to Georgetown in 1960.
Billy and his family loved racing and spent many years owning different racing teams. He and his son Darrell also spent many years building hot rods together. He was a lifetime member of The Loan Star Street Rod Association. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, and friend.
Billy lost his son Darrell in November 2020 to a sudden unexpected death. He never got over this loss and spent every day, up until his death, longing to be with Darrell and Charlene again. The family takes comfort in knowing Billy is once again with the two people he loved the most in his life along with other family. Billy will be missed dearly.
