The family and friends of Norman and Betty Sanders will hold a memorial service at the Miller Cemetery on June 13, 2021, at 1:00 pm.

Betty Jo Sanders (nee Gudgel) was born in 1928 to Everett and Mary Gudgel (Anderson, Indiana). She passed away on July 1, 2011, in Springhill, Florida. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings (Richard Gudgel, Joyce Rinker, and Susie Shaw).

Norman Sanders was born in 1923 to Herbert and Hilma Sanders (Honey Creek, Indiana) and passed away on January 2, 2021, in Springhill, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings (Marjorie Cloud, Eddie Sanders and Jim Sanders). He is survived by his brother, Marvin Sanders.

Betty Jo and Norman married on December 24, 1949, and moved to Bloomington, Indiana, where Norman worked at WTTS Radio Station. Shortly afterwards, they moved to Greensboro, North Carolina, where Norman worked at WFMY-TV. They returned to Indiana prior to February 1951, opened Sanders TV Sales and Service, and resided in Middletown until 1998 when they moved to Florida.

When asked about Betty, Norman said, "She was quite a lady. She deserved a gold medal for putting up with me for sixty-plus years."

They are survived by their five children (Deborah Brubaker, Elizabeth Stonebraker, Melissa Sanders, Stacy Lee, and Jeffrey Sanders), 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews
