Amy was born December 26, 1971, in Galesburg the daughter of Ronald J. and Marlene K. (Sargeant) Lindner. She married the love of her life, Cornelius "Corny" Stanley on August 28, 1999, in Galesburg.
She is survived by her husband, Corny; her daughter, Cierra Stanley of Galesburg; her grandson, Roman; her parents, Ron Lindner and Marlene Lindner both of Galesburg; her brother, Tom Lindner of Galesburg; her mother-in-law, Joyce Taylor and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Marvin T. Lindner in 2016, Lorraine C. Lindner in 2020, and Raymond and Helen Sargeant and her best friend, Barbara Cudd in 1997.
Amy graduated from Galesburg High School in 1990. She worked in her home preparing taxes for many people. Amy also worked as the manager for her and her husband's restaurant, C & R's Smokehouse Barbeque for many years. She was baptized in the Catholic faith.
Amy played the Illinois Lottery religiously and enjoyed going to Bingo. She had a love for gardening, scrapbooking, and attending garage sales. When Amy married Corny she took on the love for the White Sox and Pittsburgh Steelers. She was a loving supporter of her husband and loved spending time with her family and friends. One of her favorite roles was being Mimi to her grandson, Roman.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Friday, June 4, 2021, at the chapel with Chaplain Jordan Knight officiating. Burial will be in East Linwood Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 concerns, the family has requested that all in attendance wear face masks. Memorials may be made to the family to establish a memorial at a later date.
