Andrew Jackson Robert Rodgers, Sr., better known as "Jack", 81, of Bourbon, Missouri, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Washington.

Jack was born on December 4, 1939, to Morley and Gulena (Canada) Rodgers in Saint Louis, Missouri. He grew up and attended school in the Doniphan area, later enlisting into the United States Marine Corps where he honorably served our country as a military policeman. After his discharge he met his first wife, Shirley Garris, while working as a taxi driver. They were later united in marriage on February 14, 1964. To this union, two children were born, Andrew and Cynthia. Together they raised their family in Edwardsville, Illinois, on "The Hill." Jack was a hard worker and made sure to instill the value of hard work into his children's lives. Jack was employed by Amex Zinc and Smelting as a Millwright for the majority of his working career but made sure to always devote time to his family, especially by taking many family vacations. Shirley sadly passed away after sharing 24 years of marriage.

Later Jack was united in marriage to Patricia Tucker on November 10, 1988. With their marriage he gained two more daughters, Stacy and Lisa. Together Jack and Patricia blended their families. They enjoyed traveling and living in various places including Arkansas and Illinois as Jack would rehab homes. He loved to spend his retirement life, hunting and fishing, especially on Clearwater Lake. Jack also enjoyed woodworking and making things in his shop. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by many.

Jack is survived by his wife, Patricia, of Bourbon, MO; a son, Andrew Rodgers Jr. and wife Sheila of Saint Robert, MO; three daughters: Cynthia Boda and husband Chris, of Owensville, MO, Stacy Kellett and husband Terry of Stanton, MO, and Lisa Nichols and husband Jerry of Bourbon, MO; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great – grandchild; one brother, Randall Rodgers of Collinsville, IL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Garris; his parents; 5 brothers: Sterlin, Verlin, Rolland, Wayne & Jimmie; three sisters: Janie, Evelyn, and June.
