– Levi P. Thompson, 73, of Sherman Township, passed away Friday, May 28, 2021, at Spectrum Health Gerber Hospital in Fremont.

He was born November 14, 1947, in Muskegon, the son of Ray and Beulah (Deneke) Thompson. Levi grew up in California, and graduated from Mountain Miguel High School in 1967.

In 1985, Levi moved to Newaygo County, and worked as a self-employed carpet and flooring installer. He was an avid sportsman, and loved to fish and bow hunt.

Levi is survived by his children, Ricky (Deedee) Thompson of Colorado, April Murray-Thompson of Cincinnati, and Don (Julie) Thompson of Fremont; his brother Robert of Flagstaff, AZ; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the Sherman Township Cemetery on South Wisner Road, near Crystal Lake where Levi lived.
