Kevin W. Johnston, age 71, of Reedsburg, died on Saturday, May 22, 2021 from injuries sustained in a farm tractor accident. He was born on September 9, 1949 in Reedsburg, the son of Melvin and Virginia (Warwick) Johnston. Kevin was a 1967 graduate of Weston High School. On August 29, 1969, he was married to the former Sharon J. Schultz. Kevin farmed for many years. He later operated Johnston Transportation and Johnston Hay and Grain. Kevin will be remembered for his ability to fix just about anything. He really enjoyed ministering through his singing and spreading the word of God. Kevin also loved people and was known for his gift to gab. He was a faithful member of the Advent Christian Church in LaValle.
Survivors include his wife: Sharon; two children: Joel (Jacquie) Johnston, of Dodgeville and Sara Johnston, of Scottsdale, Arizona; two grandchildren: Zach and Brittany; one great-grandson: Calob; two brothers: Melvin (Lue) Johnston and Steven (Barb) Johnston; four sisters: Linda Kennedy, Rhonda Johnston, Gina (Gary) Avery and Lydia (Patrick) Smith; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a great-grandson: Carter; a sister: Brenda and a brother: Barton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Advent Christian Church in LaValle with Pastor Bob Maeglin officiating. Interment will be in the Lime Ridge Cemetery. There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at the Hoof Funeral Home in Reedsburg from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and after 10:00 A.M. on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial donations to the Advent Christian Church would be appreciated.
