Vera D. Brown, 79, of Carlisle, died on Monday, May 31, 2021 in her home.
She was born on August 13, 1941 in Greencastle, Indiana and was a daughter of the late Gerald Pickett and Wayburn (Montgomery) Fitzsimmons.
Vera was a 1959 graduate of Fillmore High School in Fillmore, Indiana.
She worked for South Putnam High School and retired from Highmark Blue Shield.
In addition to her parents, Vera was preceded in death by her husband: Ralph W. Brown on June 26, 2014.
She is survived by her daughter: Michelle (Bernard) Risbon of Carlisle; her son: Michael (Diane) Brown of Olathe, Kansas; her granddaughter: Kaitlyn (Jake Paris) Risbon of Carlisle; her grandson: Kevin Risbon of Carlisle; her sister: Sandra Skelton of Rockville, Indiana; her brother: Dennis (Marilyn) Pickett of Brazil, Indiana; and, her nieces and nephews.
A private Graveside Service will be held in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
