Mary Ann McCauley, 82, of Hazard, Nebraska died on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Center in Ravenna surrounded by her family.
Mary Ann was born on January 5, 1939 in Hazard, Nebraska to Joe and Helen (Kozel) Szwanek. She grew up in Hazard and attended Hazard Elementary School and graduated in 1957 from Litchfield High School.
After high school she moved to Omaha where she worked at Wilson's Packing House. She met Charles (Bob) McCauley on a Greyhound Bus on her way to Omaha. They were united in marriage a short 3 months later at the United Methodist Church in Hazard on March 8, 1958. They resided in Omaha and welcomed 3 children, Deb McKeon, Randy McCauley, and Pam Jenness.
Mary Ann enjoyed life. She loved being with her family, fishing in Colorado, watching NASCAR, and listening to Charlie Pride.
She is survived by her husband, Bob McCauley; daughters, Deb and Mick McKeon and Pam Jenness all of Ravenna; grandchildren, Shari and Tom Spaulding of Ravenna, Nate and Misty Bailey of Grand Island; Christine Bailey and Simon Valderez of Grand Island, Anthony Jenness of Ravenna, Angela Jenness of Grand Island, Jack Bailey of Grand Island and Arron Jenness of Ravenna; eight great-grandchildren; sister Betty of Ravenna; and niece Valerie and Greg Delerosa of Ravenna.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Randy McCauley, nephew Roger Limbach, granddaughter Michelle McKeon Hilkemann, and brother-in-law: Lee Marshall.
