Her mother Florantha Sproat died in San Francisco, CA on April 28, 1883.
Her father died at the Mount Lebanon Shaker Community in Mount Lebanon, NY on Feb. 4, 1887, where he had lived and taught school for many years. A 1875 NY census shows him at another Shaker community in Canaan, NY where he's listed as single, working as a farmer. The 1880 US census shows him at the Mt. Lebanon community, again, listed as single. Meanwhile... he had a wife in California.
