Larry Dan Russell, 80, of Columbus, left to be with our Savior May 26, 2021 at his home.

Larry was born May 9, 1941 in California, the son of Emerson R. and Darlien Carry Russell.

He married Deborah K. Fields on March 7, 1981.

He is survived by his wife; a son Larry C. Russell of Columbus; daughters Cari (John) Roberts, Kelly A. (Gary) Moody, Tammy L. (Casey) Harsh, and Rachel D. Raisor all of Columbus; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; as well as a sister Connie Roberts of Oaklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; as well as a sister Linda Scott.

Larry was a tool and die maker for many companies in the region, before retiring from Concept Tool in 2014 due to health related issues. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, woodworking, drag racing, painting, as well as tinkering with anything that he could get his hands on. Larry was a very loving, loyal, and hardworking man. He never met a stranger. Everyone who knew him, loved him.

The funeral will be at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday June 1, 2021 with Pastor Raymond Dupree officiating.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of services Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
