Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, G. W. Anderson; her parents, T.E. Thames and Aileen Thames; one sister, Vivian Frensilli; and one son, Michael Anderson.
She is survived by one daughter, Sandra Shedd of Petal; one son, Robert Anderson (Penny) of Palm Bay, FL; five grandchildren, Kelly Howell (Kenny) of Petal, Thomas Anderson (Elizabeth) of Cave City, KY, Terrence Anderson (Jennifer) of Port Orange, FL, Suzanne Stanton of Brandon, and Greg Stanton (Shannon) of Brandon; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Turner (Ford) of Purvis; one brother, Don Thames (Nancy) of Vancleave; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Anderson was born on July 27, 1936 in Seminary, MS. Her family moved to Hattiesburg when she was in the 9th grade. She graduated from Forrest County Agricultural High School in 1954. She attended Cranston's Business School to become a secretary. She worked at her husband's real estate office, as secretary/bookkeeper at Beeson Academy for 10 years, and worked in the finance department at Forrest General Hospital for many years.
She was known for her selfless nature. People were drawn to her genuine kindness and sweet smile. She adored spending time with her family. Some of her hobbies included, fishing, crocheting, gardening, and reading.
She was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. Our family would like to thank Bedford Care Center of Petal and HomeCare Hospice for taking such good care of her.
