He was a carpenter and member of the Assembly of God Church. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Nina Thomas; and his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Jessie Barnett.
Survivors include his father and step mother, Donald and Linda Barnett of Monticello; two brothers, Chris (Darla) Barnett and Steven (Angela) Barnett all of Monticello; a sister, Amye Stephenson of Fayetteville; and nieces, Nina, Layne, Maggie and Rachel.
Graveside services will be held 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello with Bro. Dwayne Roper officiating.
