On his birthday, May 17, 2021, Jerome F. West, 98, passed away and joined the love of his life, Helen R. (Hacey) West, who passed away December 23, 2020, at age 95. Married for 75 years, they began their lives together following his service with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. Jerome started Facilamatic Instrument Corp. in Valley Stream, NY, and became a successful businessman. Jerry, an avid reader, researched everything. Mechanical, medical and statistical, he had a mind that could absorb it all and was always willing to help complete the project at hand. Adventurous, he loved life, Helen, his family, work, and of course, if you knew him, his Hatteras. Helen was a homemaker who loved her family, neighbors, visiting casinos with her friends, and always taking care of Jerry. Together, they enjoyed designing, building, and spending time at their second home in Vermont, traveling the world, skiing, boating, playing cards, golfing, and spending time with their many treasured friends and family. They were both smart, kind, considerate and generous people. They are survived by their three children, Jerilyn Miltenberger, Dennis (Linda) West, Alison (Robert) Coll, 7 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and 4 Nieces. They will share their final resting place at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Two angels in Heaven together, missed more than words can express.
Rest in Peace. With Love and Fond Memories
