Bryan Keith McDonald, 59, of Raymore, Missouri passed away on May 21, 2021, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Kansas City, MO surrounded by his wife Tammy and two sons, Shane and Shawn. He was born the son of Merlyn and Marvel (Albin) McDonald in Denver, CO, on September 25, 1961. He was a 1980 graduate of Trego Community High School.

On June 25, 1983, Bryan was united in marriage to Tammy LeAnn Wendland of Oberlin, KS. He attended Kansas State University and Fort Hays State University. He then continued his education attending Northwest Kansas Technical College in Goodland, KS and graduated with his electrical journeyman's license. He was a former resident of WaKeeney and Parker, Colorado before calling Raymore, MO his home. Bryan had his journeyman's license in Kansas, Colorado and Missouri and he worked over 35 years loving what he did.

Bryan was an avid Denver Bronco fan and loved to tail gate and cheer them on. He loved to coach his sons in various youth sports and later enjoyed getting to cheer them on with their love for soccer. He enjoyed visiting Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, CO. He loved his pets. He had a great sense of humor and his two favorite holidays were the 4th of July and Christmas. He enjoyed any chance to get together with family.

Bryan is survived by his wife, Tammy and two sons, Shane P. and Shawn R. McDonald of Raymore, MO; his father, Merlyn (Betty) McDonald, Gove, KS; a brother, Stan McDonald, WaKeeney, KS and nephew Michael (Julie) McDonald, Quinter, KS and daughters, Kendall, Jordan, and Brooklyn and nephew Tyler McDonald, WaKeeney, KS and daughter, Tamara; a sister, Brenda (Lance) Hoopingarner of Otis, KS, and nephews Landon and Seth, Hays, KS and Jake, Otis, KS; a brother Scot McDonald of Colby, KS and nieces Megan (T.J.) Janousek, Hays, KS, and sons Teddy and Samuel and Amber (John) Risewick, Norton, KS and son Owen and nephew, Wyatt McDonald, Seldon, KS; a mother-in-law Norene Jording, Washington, KS; a brother-in-law Dale Kempt, Oberlin, KS and nephews Dayton, McCook, NE and Dawson, Hays, KS; a brother-in-law Cobe (Tarry) Jording, North Platte, NE; a sister-in-law Susan Jording, Washington, KS and nieces Jessica Moree, Washington, KS, and Elisa Dier, Omaha, NE and Emma Jording, Washington, KS; brother-in-law Mick Ruel, Lenexa, KS and nephew Jared Schroder, Overland Park, KS and niece Bailey Schroder, Scottsdale, AR and daughter River as well as lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marvel V. McDonald and sister-in-law, Trina Ruel.

There will be a visitation Friday, June 4, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Schmitt Funeral Home in WaKeeney, KS. A celebration of Bryan's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Collyer, KS.
