Hazel Marie Stone Jackson, 80, formerly of Cordova, S.C. went peacefully to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Edisto Baptist Church, 2726 Carver School Road, Cope. Rev. Dan Fogle and Rev. Richard Ehrhardt will be officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Edisto Baptist Church prior to the service.
Mrs. Jackson was born on July 22, 1940 in Orangeburg. She was the daughter of the late William "Bill" M. Stone, Sr. and the late R. Vermelle Fogle Stone. She was a life-long member of Edisto Baptist Church in Cope, S.C. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Caring for others brought her the greatest joy. Mrs. Jackson was predeceased by her husband, Alonzo B. Jackson, Sr. and her brother, William "Billy" Stone, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Sharon J. Nettles (David), Alonzo "Lonnie" B. Jackson, Jr.; grandchildren, Justin A. Jackson, Katelyn A. Jackson and Brooke M. Nettles.
The family would like to give a big thank you to the Tyler Restmore Home #3, formerly The Golden Years for their love and support during the last few years and to Grove Park Hospice for their care provided to her and to her the entire family.
