Vicki Lynn Boyd, age 61, of rural Casey, IL was called to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Missouri Baptist Hospital after a long and courageous battle with histoplasmosis.

She leaves behind her husband Bob, sons Brandon (Kindra) Finney of Charleston and Logan (Macie) Boyd of Toledo, her parents, Frank and Norma Stewart of Casey, sister Donna (Adrian) Greenwell of Casey, as well as many nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Vicki also leaves her most precious gift, her grandchildren, Hudson (7), Reece (5), Jett (5), and Hallie (2). These four were her pride and joy. Truly her whole world.

Vicki was born on August 12, 1959 in Charleston, IL. She graduated from Casey High School in 1977, received her degree in cosmetology immediately after, and was a hairdresser for many years before deciding to pursue a career in nursing. Vicki graduated from Lincoln Trail Community College in 1996 and worked as a nurse until becoming a stay at home mom/grammy. She married her husband, Bob, on April 2, 1989 at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Vicki will be remembered for her love of animals, children, and life itself. She always lived life to the fullest, loved hard, and someone we should all aspire to be more like.

Vicki was a faithful member of New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Yale, IL. She was a true Proverbs 31 woman. She deeply loved the Lord and His light shone from her for all to see. Vicki battled more health issues than many will ever know. She always did so with grace and courage, and only few were aware of the silent battles she fought with her health on a daily basis. Vicki always had a smile on her face, and to know her was to love her. She was a wonderful cook and housekeeper, a faithful volunteer at her church, and there wasn't a ball game or special event for her grandbabies or family that she ever missed.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 10:00AM at New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Hickory Church) in rural Yale, IL with Pastors Kevin Jenkins and Chris Parr officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Cemetery, rural Yale, IL. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, also at the church.

Donations in memory of Vicki's beautiful life can be made to New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3997 N 100th St, Casey IL 62420.
