On Sunday, October 17, 1943 Robert Lewis Hudson, Sr. was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Willie Bell Gray Hudson. During his employment years, RL as Robert, Sr. was affectionately known to family members and friends, worked for the Jefferson Energy Cooperative, locally called Jefferson Electric which is a part of the Electric Membership Corporation. In 1984, after 23 years of dedicated service as a Groundsman, he retired.
In addition to his parents, "RL" is preceded in death by his wife, Willie Bell Hudson; a daughter, Ella Mae Sallywhite; two sons, Bobby J. Hudson and Jessie Lee Hudson.
Left to cherish his loving memories: four daughters, Martha Moss, Betty Mae Cowins, Rosie Mae Flournoy and Louvator Battle, all of Warrenton, GA; two sons, Robert Lewis Hudson, Jr. of Atlanta, GA and Willie C. Hudson of Warrenton, GA; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Mammie Turman of Thomson, GA; one brother, Willie Wyman (Elma Jean) Hudson of Mesena, GA; three additional sisters-in-law, Bertha Hudson, Gert Hudson, both of Thomson, GA and Katie Hudson of Camak, GA ; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends."
