Meade, Ks.-- Raymond E. Klotz, age 86, passed away Saturday afternoon on May 29, 2021 at his Meade, Kansas residence. He was born May 11,1935 at Englewood, Kansas the son of Max and Mary (Butts) Klotz. As a young boy he attended school in Englewood, graduating from Englewood High School in 1954. Upon his graduation, he joined the United States Army. After his discharge he attended Dodge City Community College, receiving his Associates Degree. He then began his career as an electrician, working for Western Electric for several years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and spending time with his family and friends.
On May 31, 1958 he married Norma Jenks at Lakin, Kansas. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Max Klotz of Dodge City, Ks. and Earnest Klotz of Hutchinson, Ks.; two daughters, Kim Grund of Dodge City, Ks. and Susan Klotz of Kinsley, Ks.; two brothers, Rodger Klotz of Meade, Ks. and Jerry Klotz of Lakin, Ks.; sixteen grandchildren including Sadie, Lacey, Lindsey and Eric that he and Norma raised; twenty-six great- grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Wed. June 2, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary in Meade, Ks.
