Margie Buckine Lucas was born August 14, 1936 in Bradenton, Florida to the late Eugene Buckine, Sr., and Leola Dixon Buckine. She was baptized at an early age. She was employed with the Hillsborough County Schools and retired as a school bus driver. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Estelle Brown and Deloris Turner; brother, Eugene Buckine, Jr.; her children, Leola Howard, Daretha Lucas.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories with her daughters, Aridene Kennedy (Willie), Caretha Lucas Dawkins and son, Andrew Lucas, Jr. (Sherin); grandchildren, William Butler, Latoyia Whitehead (Theodis) Cedric Walden, Sr. (Brandis), Derrell Lucas, Andrew Lucas (Audrinne) and Countess Lucas; great grandchildren, Jordan Mutcherson, Aviance Whitehead, DyJa Whitehead, Zion Walden, Cedric Walden, Jr., Zi'Ariya Lucas, Chase Walden and Chance Walden; great-greatgrandchild, Jazmyn Mutcherson; nieces, Gena Brown and Loretta Brown; a host of nieces, nephews; cousin, Freeman Buckine.
The visitation will be held at Aikens Funeral Home on Friday, April 2nd from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The family and friends are asked to meet at the chapel on Saturday for the service.
