Christopher W. "Chris" Thompson, age 59, of Glenmont, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 following a sudden illness.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 5th at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio with Pastor James Butler officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Killbuck VFW. Chris was born August 14, 1961 in Athens, Ohio and was the son of Louis H. Thompson and Cecile J. (Cain) McCloud.
Chris was a 1980 graduate of West Holmes High School. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Germany. Chris work 33 years at Frito-Lay in Wooster. He was an avid sports fan, loved going to football and baseball games and enjoyed mushroom hunting.
He is survived by his parents; father, Louis Thompson of Massillon, Ohio and mother, Cecile McCloud of Millersburg, Ohio; siblings, Louis (Babs) Thompson of North Carolina, Ara Jean Temple of Columbus, Ohio, Timothy Thompson of Millersburg, Ohio, Deanna Thompson of Nashville, Ohio, Laurance "Scott" (Laura) Thompson of Nashville, Ohio, Michelle (Steve) Regula of Fresno, Ohio and Sharon V. (Tim) Drawbridge of Millersburg, Ohio; sister-in-law, Vicki Thompson of Nashville, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and his loving companion, Carolyn Reich of Ashland, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Thompson.
